This fall, V Serve Canada invites you totake part in Fall Mental Health Workshops for Older Adults, a five-weekseries dedicated to supporting seniors' mental health, social connection, andhealthy aging. From October 1 to November 5, 2026, older adults willgather at Sahara Senior Services, Meadowvale Community Centre everyThursday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM for a program built around understanding, connection, and resilience.

Why Senior Mental Health Matters

As we age, mental health becomes just asimportant as physical health. Older adults may face challenges such asloneliness, isolation, or the emotional weight of major life transitions, allof which can affect overall well-being. Programs like this create safe andwelcoming spaces where seniors can talk openly, build community, and accesspractical tools for their mental wellbeing.

What the Program Offers

The series brings together fiveworkshops, each built around a different theme:

  • Understanding Mental Health –     Building awareness and reducing stigma around mental health in later life.
  • Social Connection – Exploring how     relationships and community involvement support emotional wellbeing
  • Resilience – Practical tools for     coping with change, loss, and life's challenges.‍
  • Emotional Wellbeing – Strategies     for managing stress and maintaining a positive outlook.‍
  • Healthy Aging – Habits and supports     that help older adults stay independent and engaged.

Together, these conversations provide asupportive space for older adults to build knowledge, strengthen connections, and access practical tools for their wellbeing.
